Are you still looking for crew?
Bianca Bonilla
Hello-
I am interested in you considering me as crew on your boat.
I am a 24 year old woman living in Miami, FL. I teach environmental education to kids down here in the swamps (actually, the Everglades is just one massive, slow-moving river). I also bartend at the Miami Yacht Club.
And as much as I love getting muddy with the kids, handling the gator at work, or explaining cloud formations to kids as we're lying on our backs, I would really like to get out for a while. And not just out of miami, out and off of the land.
I am an adventure-loving gal and really eager to learn how to sail. I volunteer at a local non-profit called Shake-a-Leg and help by A/Bing on small boats so that mentally/physically kids can get out into the water and feel the breeze, the rush of tacking, and get close and personal to the water. We stay in the bay so I don't have any heavy duty experience.
But, I am resilient and positive.
Originally, I was looking for a boat where I could continue doing field education on, which is one reason, of many, that your ad struck me.
What do you mean by a "school-ship" environment?
I am open and would love to hear what your plans are.
I am available from the beginning of May-onwards.
Cheers,
Bianca Bonilla
