    My father

    Both. Offshore is great. Inshore is adrenaline.

    Good clothing

    Lisbon to Marin (Spain)

    I love the sea

    A gale in my twenties

    The team and the friendship in a closed world
  • In sailing, what do you most want to achieve?
    Nothing important. With my age I had been quite everything in sailing: competitor, judge, officer, organizer, member of the ISAF committees, member of my Federation committees. (take a look at my website www.geocities.com/jcascais)
  • What is your favourite sailing venue(s) and why?
    Cascais. Good sea, good wind, good sun, good friends and above all the best conditions for the America's Cup event, we loose some time ago.
  • What is your favourite boat(s) and why?
    470, because in my twenties I had very good results in high level competition
  • What is your best sailing memory?
    Be the PRO of the ISAF 2007 OCC Worlds Championships at Cascais
  • What is the fastest you have sailed and on what boat was it?
    I remember very fasts surfs but I can not check and compare all
