“I moved from Berlin - Germany to Amsterdam - Netherlands in 2002 and started boating when I came here. I first had a small canal boat to go around in Amsterdam. At some stage going around on engine power became boring and I started to take sailing lessons to sail open sailing boats on the Ijsselmeer. In 2008 I finally bought my first larger sailing boat, a Beneteau First Class 8. It is a very sporty design and and made to race but its less suitable for sailing with family. In 2011 I sold her and upgraded to a Swedish Maxi Fenix. I'm looking forward to sail her this summer... ”
