Good points
- Three sails Another person to help keep boat flat Fast and furious
- Sailing 420's for two years at Cape Cod Sea Camps (CCSC). Good at Skipper and Crew. Does not own a boat. Team raced at CCSC.
- great learning boat
- Trapeze and Spinnaker is good fun in a 420
Bad points
- Need to be dependent on other person to go sailing: practice OR regatta
- Little big race (Over 40 boats) experience. Tons of small race experience (Under 40)
- Slow
- 420's can't point as high into the wind as Laser's can. Easier to fill up on a windier day because of the design of the hull then slows down quite easily, then becomes easier to nose dive. Laser's suit me better, but that's just my preference and what I feel more comfortable in. I can sail a Laser faster and better than I can a 420.
