The Sigma 38 is one of the few yachts (perhaps the only yacht at under 80 grand) that manages to combine the excitement of one design racing with comfortable cruising. Although the Sigma 38 was designed in the late 80s it’s racing pedigree speaks for itself. An active class association ensures there is a year round nail biting one design racing programme. Imagine lining up on the start line with at least 10 other identical yachts – it is far more rewarding and competitive than handicap racing with fewer excuses for not doing well!
