Any idea of where to start or what to do? I've wanted to try my hand at surfing too, any excuse to be beside the sea would be lovely!

I'm Natalie. I live on the Isle of Wight, UK. I've just been to Cowes Week 2008 (like I do every year) and loved watching the sailing and soaking up the atmosphere. So it got me wondering about sailing as I've never done anything in the water apart from swim. All my time on the IOW is free time as I work in Europe/Japan so just wanted to try something new.
Any idea of where to start or what to do? I've wanted to try my hand at surfing too, any excuse to be beside the sea would be lovely!
