Success On The Race Track Just Ahead Of Latest Version Of Seatrack

Simplified, user friendly functions form the basis of the upgrades and latest additions to the latest Version 9.1 of Seatrack.
Most importantly the Seatrack Man Overboard display now illustrates a clear display to reach the casualty after the ‘Man Overboard’ has been activated in the system. With one very straight forward instruction – “Keep the Arrow at 12 o’clock”, the boat will be guided towards the lost crew member. In addition, improved GPS calculations give better results when the yacht is manoeuvring for more accurate data.
The start line display has larger text fields and with the simplified display, the start line now remains active for 30 seconds following the start with the perpendicular distance to the line frozen from the start time. The line remains green if you are clear at the start, but goes red if you were positioned over the line at the starting signal. This display can be deactivated at any time following the start gun.
Success Speaks for Itself
A phenomenal set of results from the recent Round the Island race were on yachts using the Seatrack system. Many congratulations to the ‘podium-winning’ owners and navigators in Class 0, Class 1A, Class 1B, Class 1C and Class 2A.
With the Swan Europeans, the British Classic Regatta and Cowes Week all coming up in July and August in the same patch of water, the improved upgrades to Version 9.1 will give competing yachts an insight into the advantages of using the Seatrack system in the Solent.
In addition, a number of competitors on the Fastnet Race this year will also benefit from using the Seatrack system. A series of two hour seminars have been held over the Spring on the use of the system and as a result more than 10 Seatrack Grand Prix systems will now set off from Cowes on Sunday 9th August.
