In the run up to arguably the two most important years in the Club’s history and as it further develops its strategic marketing policy, the Royal Southern has appointed Peta Stuart-Hunt as Press Officer to exclusively co-ordinate its future media output.
The part time appointment is with immediate effect and Stuart-Hunt’s PR Works company will assist the Club’s marketing team in shaping and directing its media and communications output, covering the varied and lively programme of news and events leading up to and throughout its 175th. anniversary celebrations in 2012.
Stuart-Hunt runs a well established and highly respected leisure marine consultancy with a reputation for working effectively and importantly, within budget. Funding her appointment comes from pre-planned budgets set aside by the Club and will be further supplemented as the 175 programme becomes more precisely defined.
She comes with well proven communication skills, media and industry contacts gathered from 25 years devising and delivering PR and sponsorship support campaigns for many of the best known names in the leisure marine world.
A consummate communicator, her enthusiasm and unflappable ability to provide a fast, results-driven services has been employed by clients including Gill, Grand Banks, Skandia Cowes Week, RYA Sailability, Sailing Logic, Scorpion RIBs, the Westward Cup, Cowes Harbour Commission, the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round The Island Race and now, the Royal Southern Yacht Club.
