Cayard's Update from San Diego

March 04, 2011 01:28 0 comments

Another excellent day for Artemis Racing and Katusha. Both teams sailed well at the front of the fleet today, battling with the winner of the day, ORACLE Racing who has 10 points. Katusha had scores of 4,3,4,3 to end the day in second place on 14 points and Artemis Racing is in third place 16 having won 2 of the races.

Once again, the conditions inside San Diego Bay were beautiful for the 11 boat fleet. The action is very tight and boats can overtake or lose six boats very quickly. It is truly “never over ‘til it’s over” type of sailing.

Racing continues tomorrow with four more fleet races scheduled.

Clipper 60

Our ex-round the world 60’ clipper yacht Thermopylae Clipper is available for corporate charter. These voyages are a chance for a company to entertain their (potential) clients; to reward employees for good work; or to have a team building day. During these voyages you can choose to be a passenger or to work in sailing the boat. Corporate days are tailored specifically to your requirements. They will typically involve meeting for breakfast, issuing waterproofs, going to the boat and making it ready for sea, and then going out for a sail. Lunch can either be eaten while sailing, an anchor or perhaps ashore in West Cowes when there could also be an opportunity for some retail therapy. We will then return to our base on the River Hamble. Please contact us for further information, availability and booking. Tel: 01489 580099 email: office@dsp.uk.com http://www.dsp.uk.com
