Saturday brought a fresh southerly wind and the 17 boats competing enjoyed a beat to no1 “Black Rock” with the separation between the boats being over a mile and the wind shifting through over 200 Ado Jardine in Lucrezia took an early lead from Peter Barton helming Mersa positions didn’t really change on the run to E “Dunford” however on the next beat Stuart Jardine helming XL found some great shifts to gain a significant lead and was not challenged again. Mersa finished a comfortable 2nd with Richard Field’s Persphone 3rd.

With two races remaining in the final week after discarding their worst results XL is tied with Diana on 7 points with Persephone a further 8 points back.
