Debut Race for Extreme 40 Holmatro

This week the new and orange Extreme 40 ‘Holmatro’ arrived in Medemblik, ready to touch the water! Carolijn, Sebbe, Jeroen, Gerd, Andreas and Daniel are working hard to optimalize the boat and have started training for the first iShares Cup race in München, but also for a local cat race on Saturday the 12th: ‘Round IJsselmeer’.

This week the new and orange Extreme 40 ‘Holmatro’ arrived in Medemblik, ready to touch the water!



Carolijn, Sebbe, Jeroen, Gerd, Andreas and Daniel are working hard to optimalize the boat and have started training for the first iShares Cup race in München, but also for a local cat race on Saturday the 12th: ‘Round IJsselmeer’. The boat will then compete in a large field of small(er) catamarans (such as the Formula 18’s) and sail around the Dutch ‘IJsselmeer’, which is a race of approx. 50 NM starting from Medemblik.



The 18th the boat will be transported to München and prepare for the first races of the iShares Cup, starting on Friday the 25th of May. With a competition of five other teams it will be very exciting as most of the teams meet up again for the first time after the Volvo Ocean Race 2006.
