Amsterdam: crashes and excitment!

The last series of the iShares Cup was held in the city centre of Amsterdam just in front of Java island. Here is a narrow kanal of 200 by 600 metres, where the boats had to take really good care not to excellerate and crash on to the concrete side or a canal boat. Enough wind also caused the Extreme 40's to just take off, very spectacular to watch from the bridge or Bagels & Beans.

There were 6 races and Holmatro with on the helm, Carolyn Brouwer, sailed some steady top score races and one the day! As the hospitality was located on a lovely boat moored to the side of Javaeiland, the Champagne wasn’t sprayed around this time but shared with the corporate guests of that day.
On to day two…
