Youth Sailors Making Bermuda Proud!

This summer Bermuda has several youth teams competing all over the world! In early July we had 5 youth compete in the ISAF Youth World Championships, in Denmark: William Hutchings in the Standard rig Laser, Haley Powell and Libby Brewin in the girls 29'er and Joshua Greenslade and Blake Burgess in the boys 29'er. Libby and Haley's next stop was Holland for the 2008 29'er Europeans! The Optimist World Team just returned from Turkey, where former WaterWise graduate, Brian Bulhoes finished 26th out of 250 boats from 53 countries! Cameron Pimentel and Ryan Saraiva just picked up 1st and 2nd Youth at the Canadian Nationals, with over 60 sailors. They are now in France with William Hutchings, Campbell Duffy, Jason and Jordan Saints competing in the European Youth Laser Radial Championships, with over 185 boats! This past week Macenzie Cooper placed 21st out of 331 boats in the Opti US National Championships.
