Earlier today, the former Olympic rower and Gold medallist James Cracknell was at Earls Court during the exciting build-up to the opening of Sail, Power & Watersports Show in six days time, on Wednesday 26 November. James was photographed sitting in a tiny rowing boat on top of a London black cab by a large pack of top London news photographers right outside the entrance to Earls Court as part of a safety campaign initiative.
As the Christmas countdown begins and the festive party season gets underway, Stella Artois has found that up to 83% of us will get frustrated when trying to get home after a night out, owing to not planning our journeys home in advance. Stella Artois is encouraging people to make a plan to ‘get home safe’, which builds upon its commitment to responsible drinking. This initiative is lead by James Cracknell, a man who understands all too well the importance of planning, especially as he is about to set off on a race to the South Pole with Ben Fogle.
“From my experiences I know the importance of making a plan and getting home safe so I was really excited when I was asked to lead the Stella Artois campaign. It doesn’t matter if you are heading to the South Pole or East Finchley this Christmas, everyone should make a plan to get home safe.“
James Brooke, M.D. Of the Sail, Power & Watersports Show commented, “When we were contacted about holding this photo shoot outside Earls Court today, we jumped at the opportunity to help support such a worthy and topical campaign and it was a bonus to have James involved and with us today, perched in a rowing boat on top of a taxi! It all adds to the excitement leading up to the opening of the Show on Wednesday.”
