Have you Inspected your rig this year?

How many boat owners actually have their rig inspected regularly?
This is the time of year when we (Performance Rigging) inspect many of our customers rigs ready for the years sailing ahead. Although we are flat out doing winter inspections and servicing we know the number of boats we inspect each winter is less than 1% of all boats on the River Hamble. I am sure other riggers inspects mast and some do it themselves but that still leaves a lot of boats not checked year to year.
Every rig we inspect we always find some problem, large or small.
This week we inspected a rig to find a crack on one of the shroud rigging terminals, a disaster waiting to happen if we had not found it.
