Awards were presented by Royal Bermuda Yacht Club Commodore Ralph Richardson for the BODA Fall Series, which consisted of 33 races for the Advanced Fleet and 34 races for the Intermediate Fleet. Racing began in September. In the Advanced Fleet title came down to the last day with a solid performance by Mackenzie Cooper with five consecutive first place finishes. Dimitri Stevens and Owen Siese followed him close behind.

Dimitri Stevens and Owen Siese followed him close behind. In the Intermediate Fleet Ceci Wollmann walked away with first place followed by Jacob Green and Curtis Paterson.
Awards were also presented for the most improved sailor for each fleet and the Seamanship Award. In the Advanced Fleet Mackenzie Cooper was presented the Most Improved Award, over the past year he has moved steadily up the standings and sealed Most Improved Award, showing determination to sail in all conditions. The BODA Seamanship Award went to Kyle Burgess who consistently looked out for and helped our junior sailors. BODA was also pleased to announce the sailors who have qualified to represent Bermuda at the South American Optimist Championship in Salinas Ecuador in April 2009. The qualified sailors are as follows;.
