Marström is the world leader in the development of spars and catamarans using carbon fibers, prepreg and autoclave technology. It was founded by Olympic medalist Göran Marström in the early 1980s with a simple attempt to make lighter and faster boats for himself and his friends on the international sailing circuit. Marström was the first manufacturer to start building spars and boats in carbon using the autoclave.
