Sea Teach

Sea Teach was established in 1981 by Ian Dodgeon, Jim Barlow and Stuart Anderson. Between them, they have nearly 100 years of sailing experience, particularly in cruising yachts, including four transatlantic voyages.

Still together as a team today, Sea Teach is one of the leading, independent chandleries in Europe. Unlike most mail order shops, however, Sea Teach is unique – we hold the largest stock and range of new and used sails in Europe. Be it a class dinghy or a weekend cruiser, the chances are that we will have the sail you need.

Sea Teach is also the leading specialist in deck hatches and portlights in the UK. We hold in stock a huge range, including a vast number of clearance hatches from Lewmar and opening portlights from both Lewmar and Gebo.

Such is the confidence customers have with Sea Teach that, each year, demand from overseas has increased to become a sizeable portion of our trade. Orders can be despatched the same day and arrive at a European destination within two or three days – across the Atlantic within a week.
