Société Nautique de Saint Tropez

Born in 1866, the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez has about 500 members. The Club organize or co-organize around 15 sailing events in the year ( “Le Challenge IRC”, “le Festival ARMEN”, “Les Voiles Latines à Saint-Tropez” , “La Giraglia Rolex Cup”, “Le Trophée Bailli de Suffren”, “les Voiles d’Automne”, the famous event “Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez” and “Dragon Saint-Tropez” (in 2009, the Dragon European championship with Daniel Cremieux)… in addition to fishing and cruising activities …

SNST is the local organizer of the famous Giraglia Rolex Cup, organized by Yacht Club Italiano every year since 1953. The race starts from Saint-Tropez and reaches Genoa via the Giraglia islet, located off Cap Corse, the northernmost point of Corsica. A famous winner of the Giraglia is the yacht Helisara, owned by Herbert von Karajan.
