The club was first formed in 1948, and now enjoys a refurbished clubhouse with commanding views of the Bristol Channel Club boats are moored either on pontoons giving 24hr access or on river moorings. The River Brue and Parrett are tidal hence we have a considerable rise and fall during the tidal sequence.
We use drying moorings on the River Brue which are held by fore and aft mooring chains. . All persons with vessels in the river whether on a mooring or pontoon require a river licence, this is payable by the club to the Crown Commissioners. Presently the mooring fee stands at £60.
We have a pontoon system for 26 boats with 24 hour access via a walkway. .
Water and electric is available on the pontoons..
We sail in tidal waters so consequently our sailing time is limited by the tide which gives us access for approximately 2 hours either side of high water.
New members and visitors are welcome.
Clubhouse and Bar Open for events as and when indicated in the club programme.
