Someone who wants to come out for day sails / overnights that can be decided as we go. Ideally someone who has done the day skipper or knows a bit about sailing as I'm on the learning curve myself. I basically want someone to help and have a laugh as I'm not confident enough yet to go single handed and its supposed to be fun at the end of the day.

I am a Yachtmaster Offshore (ex-instructor) and I am looking for regular (and irregular) crew for weekday, weekend and week(s) sailing in my Hanse 348 in the Solent, all points West and across the Channel. Singles, M or F, are welcome. Contributions to overnight marina costs, victualling and a £15.00/day 'wear & tear amount is all that's required. You must enjoy the social aspects of sailing! I am fairly mature (some would say very) so no gung-ho racer types please! A good sense of humour is mandatory and you should enjoy the odd glass of wine or equivalent once alongside of course! All passages will be primarily for social/pleasure cruising rather than racing. You need to have your own waterproofs & life jacket plus a sleeping bag and pillow. When Covid rates are high then a pre sailing Lateral Flow Test will be required. In any event please be prepared for some serious questioning about your living and working arrangements along with your lifestyle. And vice versa of course! Please email telling me a little bit about yourself, your experience and your availability. My email address is full.circle348@gmail.com. Stephen Ward

Hi, I'm Mark, owner of classic yacht Halcyon of Eyemouth "H". I've spent the last 4 years restoring H. She's a Scottish built all-wood motor-sailer capable of crossing oceans. Halcyon is a very comfortable boat, a liveaboard with all the facilities needed for long distance sailing. The sail rig is all-new, capable of full sail power (engine off) in 10 knots plus of wind. About me...I'm 64, I keep very fit, sporty, slim, vegetarian (you don't have to be) who's getting comfortable with life, people, happy to get up in the mornings and make a full day. I value friendship highly, needed for long passages. I'm gay/bi so you must be open-minded and non-judgmental. I'm looking for a young male crew member who wants to learn all about sailing, be compatible, join in on every aspect of operating a classic yacht. The position is supported with paid expenses and other financial support where needed. Warmer climates appeal, we can decide together where to head to. Cheers, Mark

I'm looking for a female companion/crew to join me from June '22 onwards, either short term or long term. I am leaving from Plymouth bound for the Caribbean via Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Canary Islands and the Cape Verde Islands. You can join me at any convenient port of call but it is your responsibility to get yourself to the boat and to return home afterwards. This will be a "shared costs" deal but I don't lead an extravagant lifestyle so costs should be fairly small and I may be willing to consider contribution "in kind" - cooking for instance. Let me know what skills you have and we may be able to come to an arrangement. I don't mind about your nationality, the colour of your skin, your religion or any of that stuff as long as you have common sense, are reasonably physically fit, have a sense of humour and a willingness to get stuck in - these are more important to me than huge experience - of course, you should know your way around a boat and have at least a basic knowledge of what makes them go so RYA comp crew (or equivalent experience) would be useful. If you contact me and expect a reply please tell me something about yourself and why you want to join me - one line emails will be ignored. Sorry to be blunt, but if you can't make the effort to write a decent email I doubt you'll put in the effort at sea! I look forward to hearing from you. Paul

Odalisque is a well equipped and maintained 32ft sailing yacht based at Kip Marina on the Firth of Clyde, 30 miles from Glasgow. I'm retried, have over 45 years sailing experience and sail all year round. I sail mostly on my own but would like some good female company to join me on a regular basis. Also for individual trips and holifays. Expenses incurred on the trips would be shared, food, drink, overnight berthing/mooring fees, fuel etc. Interested, email me on ianb1101@yahoo.co.uk
