Cotswold Sailing Club

The Cotswold Sailing Club is located at Lake 9 (Spinnaker Lake) in the Cotswold Water Park. The club owns the lake and land surrounding it, allowing us great freedom in the way we use it. Club members have access to the lake 24-7 365 days a year, giving time and space for cruising and novice sailors without the pressure of being in the way of racing on a Sunday.

The club has a full race calendar that runs throughout the year, including Chiller (Dec/Jan) and Icebreaker (Jan/Feb) series for the hardy. The racing is friendly but competitive, novice and experienced sailors rubbing shoulders (mainly when being lapped). During the summer there can be three race series running concurrently, including Junior series encouraging younger sailors to take part in racing (a great way to improve sailing abilities). The keen sailors are always available for advice and a helping hand. At the front of the fleet, sailing is to a high standard with several members competing nationally and some internationally. The club also hosts a number of open events. Club racing is for handicap classes (there is no fleet racing apart from open meetings) although the juniors are mainly Toppers and Optimists.
